6 Czechs, 4 Czech women, 1 Russian, 2 Canadians and 1 Swede.

This is this year's line-up that will represent the Czech Republic at the European Curling Championships. Anna, Tereza, Klara, Alžběta and Ežen. These are the women who are playing Group A and trying to directly qualify the Czech Republic for the 2017 World Championships. Karel, Jiří, Martin, David and Lukáš are in Group B and will try to make it through to the finals, thus qualifying the Czech Republic for Group A of the European Championships next year. The start of the trip was a little dramatic when it was discovered at Glasgow airport that five members of the squad had luggage that had not arrived. However, everything was eventually happily found, and so a quiet night was followed by a training day. Both teams will be checking rocks, reading the ice and soaking up the atmosphere of the championship. For those who can't make the headline fit, I'll add: "The sixth Czech is Tomas Egyházy - the team leader."
