The beginning is defensive and then in the second after our mistake the Canadian keeps the deuce. We then counter a three with a draw to one and in the next, after an interesting development (Canada had a three to four played) Jacobs only gives for one. Then, as if someone has thrown some sand in the gears of the so far sovereign Canadians, we start to pull the longer end. First we level and then we even take the lead. In the eighth, our opponent struggles to defend the three and in the ninth, he makes a mistake and lets us steal the one for the second time. We're up two and it's game ten. We've got two in the ring, plus our stone in the corner guard position. Fry is long on the draw, we clear. Jacobs puts a come around behind ours in the front circles and we don't give a runback. Jacobs is almost long with his second into the circle, but offers us a double. And Jirka delivers!!! 6 : 4. We beat Canada for history and our team gets a well deserved ovation from the crowd. The Czechs surprised the Canadians and played better in the second half. Keep it up, boys.
