Tuesday in Leeuwarden.

In the morning round, the Czech men outplayed the clueless Koreans 14-6 and improved their win-loss ratio to three to two. They continue to nurture their hopes of participating in the play-offs. The women had Italy as their opponent from two onwards and the start of the game was marred by doubts about one particular spot on the ice where a groove was clearly visible. Half an hour later we played an important take out over this spot. We needed a successful stone to correct the unfavourable situation at the end of the second end. However, the stone took an unexpected turn and caused a disaster in the form of a bid to five. The Italians played better than we did in today's match and the victory belongs to them rightfully. The men's team tonight is up against the second Asian national team, the Japanese. So far, the Asian men's teams have not done very well here in Holland and our men certainly have a good chance.
