In the company of the Czech women's team I watched the match of our men (skip Snítil) against the Swiss Olympic team (skip Stoeckli). The A's hall has fewer seats for spectators than I would have expected, but it is pleasantly warm. The ice is fast (14,40), but it is spinning less than we are used to. The Czechs played for two without advantage at first, but then came right back. It took only minor inaccuracies and the Swiss started to run away from us a bit. A nicely played deuce in the ninth end did give hope for the end, but Stoeckli and Eggler had already managed the last end. The final score was 6 : 9. In the women's B, in our group, the Hungarians lead over the Spaniards and the Austrians beat the Estonians. Not surprising, then.
