You all know that the Czech girls were on the ice all the time on Friday. So that no one on the front end played three games in a row, we rotated the lineup and both Ežen, Pét'a and Míša played against only two opponents on this day. First up were the Germans, playing in the sister line-up of the Jentsch family, along with the bearer of the surname of former German national player Holger Hoehne. We erred in the fourth end and a penalty in the form of a dropped four put us into a six point deficit. We did win the second half of the match 7-2 after an excellent performance, but it was one stone short of going into extra ends. After a short break, we took on the silver medalists from the last Olympics, the Korean team. A balanced match, played on the outermost lane, brought many interesting moments and the decisive one was finally the Korean one played against our advantage in the fifth end. We lost 4 : 7. Again, a short break and on the same lane but with different stones we played with the Dánek team, where the most prominent personalities are the Dupont sisters, multiple national and Olympic athletes. The match brought mistakes and beautiful moments. We knew it was our last game of the season and we were heading for a win. However, the last stone played by Anna didn't turn into the right angle by a millimeter or two, so today's tough triple match didn't bring us any laurels. So much for reporting duties. I'll write observations, comments, analytical notes and general post about the 2021 Women's World Curling Championships tomorrow or the day after. For now, we're off to our well-deserved shenanigans, and I think we'll have rocks rolling under our closed eyes at night.
