The Czech national team of female academy players, who will defend the national colours at the World Winter Universiade in Harbin, China, has only 3 days left until their departure. More than 60 athletes and more than 30 members of the entourage are going to China. Sports such as hockey, figure skating, skiing, snowboarding and others are represented. To our great joy, for the third time also curling. In the previous Universiade, men's teams played (Claut 2003 and Torino 2007), this year for the first time it will be women. From the lineup of Doudová, Mosová, Kučerová, Illková and Štampachová (coach Kubeska) four players are playing in this week's playoffs of the Czech Extraliga. On Sunday morning, the Czech curling players together with the figure skaters (one of the five parts of the whole team) are heading first to Beijing and then to Harbin. The girls will have to carefully weigh what they take with them.
