Like last week, none of the three men's teams managed to make it through to the World Curling Tour's superstructure in Basel, neither did one of the two Czech women's teams the following week. The Czech national team first lost to the Swedes and in the last game the Czechs fell to German veteran Andrea Schoepp. The other Czech women's team did not make it to the play-offs either. I have a comparison from both events, which were separated by only a few days and I have to say that the playing conditions were more difficult for the women than for the men this time. It was not easy to read the ice across the entire width of the course and the development of ice speed in the individual lines was often too fast. Tomorrow we return to Prague, where we will have our standard training regime again.
