Brazil.

A rather exotic opponent that we would have a natural respect for if it were football. When it comes to curling, we know three premises. Mello lives and trains in Canada. The Brazilian pair are coached by experienced Swedish coach Andreas Kraupp. The Estonians had to make up a four-point deficit and it wasn't easy for them. We had a few observations to go play with. The first practice is more of a disadvantage because the ice is gradually developing and it is not clear how quickly, or if at all, it will get to the values we expect. The opponent is giving us two for two and we are only countering with one. Then we manage to steal for three thanks to some excellent midfield play. In the fourth end, we're counting on the Brazilian not playing a double, but as if on cue, it's the only take out she plays really perfectly and the opponent goes into the second half one up. The tactical battle gives way to our draw for three stones into a position that gives us a good chance to win. After the opponent's mistake, we don't have to throw anymore - the victory is ours. A tough game against a good opponent and a valuable win. Wales in the afternoon.
