Czech junior teams in Zug

Both national junior teams were on display at the tournament in Zug. The girls (Kubešková, Klímová, Plíšková, Jalovcová, Strnadová) did great and took the final fourth place and were the only ones to take a point from the later winner. The boys (Chaloupek, Klíma, Paul, Jirounek and Deyl) finished 15th with one win and three losses. The very first game was a real test of our team's abilities, as the opponent was a well-known Swiss team led by Skip Attinger. A good beginning and a bad ending is a brief description of this match. The very good organization of this tournament and its smooth running were a good start to the competitive part of the Czech junior teams' preparation.
