Czech teams are done.
The women finished the round robin with a game against Denmark, where there was still theoretical hope for the playoffs. We needed help from the Germans or the Italians, but most importantly we needed to win our game. In the second end, we missed our chance for a deuce. and then came the opponent's deuce. Then we improved our game, but it was not enough for the Danes and especially their skip (Nielsen). After eight ends we shook hands (5 : 10), when we still had a four in the eighth end. It didn't work, but no one helped us anyway and we wouldn't have reached the semis anyway. Thanks girls, it was fun and as Chenda wrote: The best result of the Czech women's national team at the European Championships so far. But now my thoughts go to Fussen!!
