Czech teams recorded their first wins.
In their debut this year, the Czechs had a tough opponent - the academics of Great Britain (skip Anna Sloan). After a slightly embarrassing opening, the Czech academics worked hard and with a precise game they won 7 : 6. It was especially valuable that after a 1 : 4 score and a failed clear there was no panic. In the evening the Czechs play the Turks. The men had the Turks to start. In the televised match our team showed their dominance with a four in the second end and then just controlled the game with good defensive play. The training sessions are still on the agenda after the evening draw, which have been given a new look, namely a precise schedule for the lanes according to the match schedule.
