The Czech and Russian teams did not let the Swiss teams into the final.
After the morning win against the Russian team, which was not easy and had to be played for two in the last end, we were facing the world champion Binia Feltcher in the semi-finals. Bad luck in the third end caused us to get four behind and it didn't look good at all. Our last stone, which would have been a correction for a two, at most and with luck a three, took some big dirt and missed everything. That just kind of kicked us into gear and we put the Swiss first with a two and then two threes. The opponent shook hands and we're going into the final, against Sidorova. She beat a young but very good Stern team.
