The match between the Italian and Czech women was significantly slower compared to the men's match. For the Italian women, the 45-second throw rule was even applied. In the first half of the match the model worked: we for two, they for one. So after halftime it was 4:2 for us and we had the advantage. There was definitely more nervousness on the Italian team, among other things because we played two lucky stones that helped the development of the end. The Italians wanted to give up the match after the sixth end at 6 : 2 for us, but they still tried an end in which we brilliantly repelled their efforts to score more than one. Then, after a moment's hesitation, a handshake and a geyser of joy. WE'RE GOING TO VANCOUVER!!! The Russians dominated the match between the Russians and the French and advance with the Scots. So both teams are out of our group, just as we predicted. Pictured smiling girls with coach Jirka Candra.
