Today is the day we move to Queenstown, where most of the New Zealand Winter Games events will take place. We still have a training session in the morning where the foursome of Létal, Candra, Krampera and Fiala are interviewed by the local newspaper. After breakfast we make the approximately five-hour drive to the city, which is one of the best situated in the world. The weather starts to favour us. The sun is pushing through and the temperature rises to 12-13 degrees. We have a few breaks, some for food, some for photography. The natural phenomena are unexpected, the architecture blending into the landscape and what is fascinating is the incredible order in all the fields, pastures and forests. Beautifully landscaped, extensive vineyards and orchards are a typical addition to the local landscape. In the afternoon we are in Queenstown in a nice hotel. In the evening, we accredit ourselves and make a visit to the renowned Boardwalk seafood restaurant. We continuously watch the World Athletics Championships from Berlin (due to the time shift in extreme hours) and cheer for the Czechs.
