The Czech team seems to have a recipe that really works for the Scots. For several times Jiří Snítil, Martin Snítil, Jindřich Kitzberger and Marek Vydra (Karel Uher - the fifth player) humbled the team from the cradle of our sport led by David Murdoch. The victory is all the more valuable because the Scots, in an unprecedented finish at the last World Championships, won the title of world champions three times in a row! beating Kevin Martin's phenomenal team. The news of the win was whispered to me at the World Curling Federation meeting by Patrick Hurlimann (1998 Olympic champion). Unfortunately, I just sat in the meeting and knew that after eight ends the score was 2-2. The men's participation in the 2010 World Championships in Italy is a little closer. Stefano Ferronato and his team await the Czechs at 7pm, so far without a win. photo: ours from the match against the Swiss
