Czech Republic - Denmark.

At thirteen o'clock local time we finally, after a long wait, started a regular match. Our opponents were the young Danes. The opening was pretty wild. In the first end we played for two, when we didn't dare to make a risky three. But then we got a four and then another one. Despite that, we went into the break with a 6-5 lead. After six ends, an 8-5 lead was promising, but the ending found us clearly unprepared to take the win. Two Danish deuces in a row meant we lost 8 : 9. Luck didn't stick with us, but we still had several opportunities to win the match and we squandered them. The very twisty ice (up to five and a half feet) makes it difficult to play defensive stones. We need to do better tomorrow.
