rn1st end: draw and shoot only. so far it's empty and will be the last stones. Iveta will play clear. We missed a stone in the front circles and the Swedes have one. 2nd end: The play is better for the Swedes. They have a center guard and a stone behind him on the tee. We have a corner guard and a stone on four. The Swedes have added center guard and Eva is playing peel. We're passing and Stener is going to add a stone to the circle. The yellow stones (Swedish) are already two on the tee line and we end up in the front circles again. The Swedes already have three guards and we try a double run back. No small tasks! We almost hit it, but the result is nothing new. Zuzka will play her second in a very difficult situation. The stone ends in front of the ring and McManus adds the third Swedish to the ring. We're going to try an Iveta come around tap. A great stone does leave the Swedes with a two in the ring, but we'll have one last chance to play anything at all. McManus plays a nice guard and we have an angle raise on our one, but it's damn hard. Iveta is a god. Beautiful stone and we have one. We have two guards, one unwanted. Mabergs is on six and throws again for our guards. On the two yellow stones in the circle, Eve plays a double, hits one, and after a Stener stone, she'll try again. We only hit one again and so behind our guards there is one yellow at about five and now a second one behind at eight. Zuzka plays to the farthest freeze and it comes out exactly. huhta is long and Zuzka will play the same stone as before. We're trying to put some pressure on the Swedes. Good stone, but we still only have one. Huhta plays clear, more like double clear, but only one guard clears tightly. We're playing guard and McManus is thinking. Finally he chooses a very fast stone and dings for guard. We write one. Score: 2 to 1. 4th end: Three center guards and one yellow on the center line, that's the start of this end. Eve passes another guard who makes the stones in front of the circles a useless scrum. The Swedes played backwards into the circles, we tried a draw too, but we just moved the stones in front of the circles to different positions. Swedes do nothing and we see no usable train at the center line and play a draw, but it brushes the guard and ends up on the free side. Huhta plays a roll, but comes out of the circles. We are long on the draw and Huhta ends up in the guards again on the next one. We already see the train and we play it. Probably some kind of soft peel. We end up in the guards and McManus thinks again. He plays a draw and ends up in front of the guards. Iveta tries to save us, but she's short and Sara calls for three diamonds. The draw is perfect and the score is 2 : 4. Situation in the fourth end: see photo 5th end. After Huhta's mistake, we play split the house and let the Swedes roll. Huhta just plays a stay. We choose come around to the existing stone in the circles. It's a bit risky to offer a double to our opponent. McManus is going to hit at least one of ours. She succeeds, and we go for the risk again, on the same side. It's a nice try, and the fans are chanting Ivette's name. I think McManus is gonna try for a double, but it's tough. McManus has McMinus for his team, as he rings the guard and we're matched up at three. It's coming out. 5-4. BREAK. It's always nice to get a three back after a three.rn
6th end starts defensively. We circle and the opponent hits. After the stones of the ones, the Swedes can create in the left back quadrant because there are two stones just outside the circle. We dispose of the yellow stone in the front circles with ease and even take one that was in the way back there. We continue defensively and Iveta plays stay with the only stone in the circles. After a roll we end up on a biter on the right side of the tee line. After a good hit by McManus, Iveta plays a successful stay and the Swede will play clear. It's a zero. The score remains 5 : 4. 7th end. The rings are now empty after the Swedes' mistake. Three stones to go and no guards. McManus is clearing again. The score remains 5-4. 8th end: The fans are perfect. "Who's gonna win tonight? The girls from the Czech Republic. So you know. They'll win on Sunday." The Scandinavians don't seem to be catching on, but I hope it helps the girls. It means we have one in the circle and the opponent has his side. We play hit and we have two. Stener misses and we have a third in the circle, no guards. The Swedes get a double and we need to hit and stay. Zuzka gives it up and we have five stones to go. Forcing the Swedes to one would be nice, but the stones are close together and it's not going to be easy to finish. Iveta plays a perfect little roll and our two stones are about a metre apart in the back circles. McManus slides one out and Iveta tries a circle. We're long and Sara plays a successful zero for the third time. score: 5 : 4 9th end: We have a center guard and both teams are fighting over the stone behind him, but the rolls aren't working out for anyone yet. Eva's going to try with her second. We go outside and Stener makes a very decent run. Zuzka's going to try and knock it out. We clink against the guard and we have a stone in the circle, but Huhta plays split the house and after touching our stone the Swedes have the second one better. The situation has gotten tricky and we have two better ones in the circles and the Swedes have one worse one, the third one. McManus rolls for the better one. He's coming out, but he's not staying. After our stone, we have two better and Sara plays a draw to one. Successful. And we have drama. The Czechs will go into the last end with the advantage on even terms. 10th end: Center guard and our stone at four feet. Opponent at the four. We're moving the yellow stone out and rolling in front of the rings. The Swedes take a time out. We're playing for guards. Sweden sets, we clear. Here comes the complication. Clear fails and we're going out with our best and staying at center guard. The Swedes are coming in, but the rock can be knocked out. Zuzka succeeds and Huhta plays around again. It's short and Zuzka will play come around at her best. We have two in the circles now, the better one on five. We end with a try on five as well. McManus with his stone just over the tee line and he's better. Iveta will play a freeze, if she gives, the Swede will have nothing to play. But the stone is on ten, and we've just pushed the yellow stone a little bit to better. Sara's throwing a good guard and we have almost nothing there. Just a little tap. BUT IVETA GIVES IT.
