CT4 is interested in curling.

Czech television has long seen curling as a sport that is attractive to viewers. Many years ago, thanks to intensive negotiations, it was possible to broadcast several times the final competitions of our best teams from the curling hall in Roztyl. Subsequently, we made edits from these broadcasts, which were used to promote Czech curling. Thanks to the successful presentation of curling in the broadcasts of the six Winter Olympics so far (with curling in the programme), the management of Czech Television itself has many times been interested in the activities of the Czech national teams. In the event of a Czech national team advancing to the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, Czech Television prepared a form of broadcasting comparable to hockey or football. That is, studio inputs before the matches, introductions of the national team, but also coaches and officials, match analysis, electronic pencil, etc. We may not have seen it yet, but what isn't now may be in the future. A new season is about to begin, which in its conclusion will give countries their first Olympic points and indicate who could reach the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. I was delighted to accept CT4's invitation and, with full humility, add a piece to the mosaic of information that all sports-minded viewers should have about curling. Fifteen years separate the videos - see below - and although one is a cut from the sprawling hall and the other a studio interview, I see a big difference in the level to which we have reached in the time curling has existed in the Czech Republic.
