To the surprise of the entire conservative wing of the CSSD, Premier Gross has thrown himself full force into the renaissance of his curling team's athletic abilities. Even the opposition MPs are taken aback and the only one who could manage a comment was Ivan Langer of the ODS: "Someone must have thrown him a switch," he said laconically. However, Stanislav Gross is serious. At a press conference held at the Hilton Hotel, he introduced the new coach of his team, the well-known normalisation hitmaker František Janeček. "My charges are ideal for success in a sport in which it is important to throw well", Janeček confidently remarked and then continued a bit incoherently, "Standa is sincere, we all know that. Skepticism or distrust in his abilities is not out of place", this remarkable creative expert skillfully paraphrased the election slogans of the ČSSD. "I'll learn the curling strategy quickly", he added. The chairman of the Czech Curling Federation, Karel Kubeška, at first refused to comment on the situation at CC Lokomotiva Praha, saying that Gross was his direct sports rival, but then he broke the barrier of silence. "I'm not afraid of Gross, curling is a sport of gentlemen and therefore the Grosses have no chance there," he said through the federation's spokesman.
