We respected the Chinese. We know that they are professional players who spend many months of the year in Canada at tournaments and camps and make their living curling. Even though we lost and finished the match before the limit, we had some very good chances at deuces and even a four in the fifth end. It has to be said that Asians in general have taken a huge step forward in curling and should be counted on for top positions. We rested for the break before the second game and then took on the experienced Aussies with skip Hugh Millikin. The skip in particular did not play in optimum form and did not convert several good chances into the necessary points. After the lost match we sat down with the friendly "Ausies" and discussed a number of interesting topics. In the evening we had meat on the grill and potatoes on salt. Both very tasty. We are now in a local pub, the reason is simple - the only place with internet in the wider area.
