Today the Czech national anthem was played.

Together with Team Wales, we were officially introduced to the public today. We got ready to sing the national anthem and we really gave it our all. The trouble was that the Welsh anthem, which was played before ours, is sung, and by an opera singer, and very well at that. So our production died out a bit. Nevertheless, we enjoyed it and shook hands with the Mayor of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The game itself was a bit affected by Anna's medical indisposition and the unclean ice, probably due to the fifth round played in a day. We lost the 2 : 0 lead after three ends by measuring with a millimetre difference. But then we countered with an elaborate three. Despite a slight hesitation, we led the match with confidence to win and after seven ends we received a hand shake from the islanders. Tomorrow we play Poland in the evening and we expect a tough battle. The Poles are doing well, they are hardworking and meticulous. We'll try to be more diligent and more careful.
