The main group is finished.

Today's matches of both Czech teams, i.e. women and men, decided the possible advancement to the Oslo tournament. For the women, it was a straight fight between the young Swedes (skip Moa Dryburgh, 19 years old) and the Czech national team, while the men needed to beat one of the Norwegian teams. The tournament system is as follows. From each of the two six-man groups in the women's section, the top three teams advance to the play-offs. Then, from the elimination matches of the second and third teams, the participants of the semi-finals are recruited to face the winners of the groups. The men play divided into four groups, with two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The whole tournament culminates with the final matches of each category. The men managed to turn the match around and from a 0-3 scoreline managed to win the final 4-3. Thanks to this they will play the Germans (Muskatewitz) tomorrow for the semi-finals. The women played an even game with the northerners, but did not manage to win. The Czech team finished fourth in the group, out of the qualifying position. The weather allowed us to walk to some of the matches, a half-hour walk along the sea and watch the construction boom in this part of the city, where a metro station and a number of other buildings will soon be completed to complement the residential buildings and amenities. It's nice, but expensive.
