Fatigue has set in.
A visibly tired Czech team fell to one of Canada's top women's teams (Middaugh) in their second game played. The game started at 9 p.m. local time, 3 a.m. Czech time. We may have had two full days in Mississauga, but acclimatization would properly consume two more. After an hour of play, when we kept pace and were down by one with the advantage after four ends, we made a couple of mistakes and let our opponents pull away, first by three and then by five. We still made a valiant attempt at a comeback, but the ladies of Wayne Middaugh's wife's team made no more mistakes and after seven ends we shook hands and went home. We need the rest, we play another game tomorrow at 11am local time. 5.00pm Czech.
