the men's team, along with coach Rickard Hallstroem
rnThere are a few new things for everyone to respect and one of them is the random broom check. We've done it twice now, including the very detailed one where you have to take the head off and remove the cover (hard line). The ice deteriorated slightly in both halls, mainly by not holding the pebble. The girls played an even match with the Finns - 4 : 4 after nine ends, but in the tenth end the winning shot could not be played without an advantage, so the northerners rejoiced. We had Wales, experienced skip Adrian Maikle. With a bit of luck we were two nil up after three ends, and we had no advantage in any of them. We maintained our lead and together with our opponents we struggled with the ice at times. A deuce played in the ninth end gave us a four stone lead. The score of 7 : 3 remained after the partial tenth end. For food, we go a little to Wetherspoons, a little to Subway, a little to Spudulike. We'll see how long we like it.
