We left in the morning to be on time for the first game, which was scheduled for 10.30. However, when we arrived at the hall before 10:00 it turned out that everything had been postponed for about two and a half hours. Unfortunately the email message came late. So we went back "home" for lunch and only from one o'clock we played a duel with the Cadorin team. The evenly matched match had a climax in the extra end, where the opponent hit the final draw to four feet, and thus pulled the win to his side. We were able to confirm our chances of advancing to the quarterfinals by winning our last group match against our traditional opponent from Japan, Team Ogasawara. However, the players from the land of the rising sun had a day where they did everything right. Playing at a percentage of over 90%, they didn't give us much of a chance and deservedly won. That's the end of the tournament for us. Overall, we played 12 games in Oakville with a record of 6 wins and 6 losses, and we take home a lot of experience. Canada is a promised country for curling!
