The second day of the competition did not bring a win.

The men took on the home team (Skip Crow) in the morning round. The very young Swedish team played a very solid game and showed what they were made of with a three in the opening game. We didn't play badly, but we were still less accurate than the northerners. We went into the break with the score 2 : 3, but then came the opponent's three, and although we still had hope at the end with a nice two, the Swedes had already taken care of the end. The women came up against the Swiss (skip Barbezat) in a bit of a euphoric mood after two sensational wins. We fared less well and burned especially on our (in)ability to create, whether through hit and roll or just good come aroundy. Even so, the match was very evenly matched, with the Swiss skip needing a stay to win at the end and handling the situation brilliantly. The Czech team could only win today in the evening match against the Norwegians. In their traditional colourful trousers and with considerable experience from junior competitions, the Norwegians are one of the favourites. After a not very interesting opening, when after three ends we were leading 1 : 0, came the unpleasantness in the form of the opponent's five. It happened after our mistakes in defensive stones and a little bit lucky split of stones before our last stone. Even our best efforts and improved performance didn't bring a turnaround. After eight ends we are 4 : 10 and still undefeated in the men's category. Overall, the level of play of the teams is very good and there are some beautiful stones and boldly executed play. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the Czechs.
