The match against Austria is off to a rocket start. We are playing very aggressive and creating a lot of pressure. A five in the first end gifted to the opponent changes the overall atmosphere. Our three deuces in the following ends make the match a one-sided affair. After the break, we're playing pure defense, and Terka's enjoying it. On the other lanes, it's the Slovaks against the Poles, the Italians against the French and the English against the Turks.rn
Evening, Ežen and I watch a bit of the boys' game against the Scots and then we have an evening practice. Scotland - men have a team with less international experience at the European Championships this time. Juniors, Universiade and tournaments.
rnFinally, Ežen and I watch pretty much the entire second half of the Czech Republic-Scotland game. It's up and down. For a while it looks like the Scots are crumbling, then again we make a mistake that doesn't allow us to score more points. The important moment is the ninth end, in which we play only one up and go into the tenth with no advantage. In it, instead of a draw, a guard comes in, followed by an incomplete come around. The Scots play a two behind the corner guard and we fight for a good angle for a double. It comes in, but we miss it by a whisker. A final saving freeze by half a foot misses and Kyle Smith hits our exact stone on the stay and therefore a three and a Scottish win. The men will try to win tomorrow against Germany (Baumann). They sensationally beat the Swedes tonight.
