Evaluation of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

First, the men's final match. I was a little worried about just what happened. Within three ends it was done and we just didn't want to drive people away from their screens, which is why we kept saying the Brits would pick themselves up. A difference of two classes and a clear issue. A de facto undignified finale and an inappropriate ending. Thirtieth transmission, and thus a good portion for me and Jirka, but also for the audience, who hopefully appreciated our efforts to provide maximum information in a cultural way. I thank all those who wrote to us (hundreds of emails) at least in this indirect way. In general about curling. The world's curling superpowers are elsewhere than we are. Professionalization of top teams, controlled conditioning, implementation teams, busy schedules, collaboration with scientists and various disciplines. In contrast, we Czechs have decided to financially support the tourist trip of senior (over 50 years) teams with 100.000 CZK. Probably a change of concept. Teams like Germany - men, or America - women are about at our level and this will not change in the foreseeable future. The quality of play here at the Olympics was very good and all it took was a few minor mistakes and the match could not be won. Tactics, perception of the game and working with teams in free time are changing. If we don't put in the work, we will miss the train.
