rnAn interesting match, decided by the fifth end. We were not able to go on the flat side of the track and our opponent took the opportunity. We came back with a cleverly played three and were still forming a three on the extra end in the last end, but Jaggi successfully played an uneasy stone with the threat of a jam with the last hit and we could not play more than two. A second quarter final in two weekends at WCT tournaments is a good start to the international season. We feel we could have achieved more here, but the whole quarter-final line-up is very good. Neither Sidorova nor Wrana made the elite eight, and both of those teams are much higher than us in the world rankings. Very good preparation for the upcoming European Championships in Tallinn.
