Game Monday.

The German women are our traditional opponent, although we have faced Andrea Schoepp in the past and today the team led by Daniela Jentsch is that opponent. We managed to gain an advantage in the pre-match training and throughout the match we were the better team, leading almost continuously. But in the ninth end we allowed the Germans to play for three and thus tie the score. The last draw on the tricky ice was a little longer than the necessary three feet, and we lost a win we probably deserved more than our opponent. Too bad, this was really close. Tonight's opponent was the Russians, playing very solidly so far. Alina Kovaleva's team was stronger at the start, but then we evened the game out and pinged each other with 1s. In the eighth, the opponent played a deuce and that definitely broke us. It must be acknowledged that the Russians played excellent curling. We had two two-match days, very tough and difficult, in which we stood to win twice in four matches. However, we are left with only the win from the first day. Tomorrow we have the Norwegians and on Wednesday the Swedes and the Swiss.
