Invasion.

Could it be true that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin agreed to postpone the Russian invasion of Ukraine for the peaceful completion of the Beijing Olympics? If so, presumably the Paralympics, which begin on March 4, are no longer such a media obstacle. It seems a little inconsiderate to our disabled fellow citizens. It smacks of underestimation, and that is not a smart strategy. Perhaps Putin is assuming that by the beginning of March everything will be under control and there will be peace as after the annexation of Crimea. So far, it does not look like a media calm at all. If the above speculations have a real basis, we are really in the hands of madmen who have the globe as a game plan. There are various bonus boxes, punitive challenges and forced returns on it, and it just depends on which sick person has the dice with sixes on all sides. Democracy is an incredibly vulnerable model in principle. It is beyond belief that it still holds up when it is abused with such ease and effectiveness by all extremist groups, left and right. Media shortcuts, tried and tested methods of persuasion, the use of propaganda and the simple repetition of lies and half-truths still work well. Thinking of other than military retaliation for the violation of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum (a guarantee of Ukraine's invincibility in exchange for the surrender of its nuclear arsenal, albeit legally unenforceable), in addition to the sanctions applied, it is certainly necessary to immediately boycott all sporting and cultural events held on Russian territory. Revise the problematic decision to allow athletes from a country that demonstrably and systematically cheats in doping controls and manipulates the samples taken. There is no alternative but to apply the principle of collective guilt to sports teams and cultural 'exports' of Russian origin. Of course, there is a lot of injustice in these measures, but there seems to be no other way. It is said that every country has the government it deserves. This is as true here in the Czech Republic as it is everywhere else. We could tell a story. And in Russia it is doubly true. So the responsibility lies with the Russians themselves.
