17.11.2019,

One of those longer days.

We got up early in the morning for the game against the Estonians, which was scheduled to start at 9:00. An evenly matched game culminating in the last end with the opponent's advantage, we eventually lost 5 : 6. We missed several opportunities to score more points and that cost us the win. Estonian skip M. Turmann played the crucial stones with a cool head at important moments, including the final draw at five feet. The evening match brought together traditional rivals who had faced each other twelve years ago at the World Junior Championships. Back then Anna Kubešková defeated Eve Muirhead. But it didn't work out today. Both teams were level until the sixth end, but then the Scots bounced back with a pair of two-point ends and it was hard to come back. Until the last moment we were still trying to do something, but the Scots didn't let the score level. We'll have evening training with Misha and Petya and we'll get to bed sometime around 11:30. Tomorrow we play twice, against the Germans and the Russians. At noon and 8 p.m.rn
