Juniors - preparation.
The location of the initial phase of the junior national team's preparation for the World Championship B in December symbolically fell to the city of Jičín. The Jičín robbers are the national champions and they have the right to compete in Lohja, Finland, for the result that would allow our young representatives to look at the venue of the next Winter Olympics - Cortina d'Ampezzo. And not only to see, but also to play against the best players of their category. Traditionally, the U21 World Championship is located in the future Olympic venue. The Czech junior teams have not reached the coveted mark for a long time, although they have been quite close on several occasions. The last time was more than ten years ago. The structure of the first preparatory camp was based on mapping and testing the movement abilities of individuals. There was a plethora of activities on the agenda, mainly running in various variations, circuit training in the fitness centre, swimming, but also beach volleyball, table tennis and some athletic disciplines, such as high jump. There was also a climbing wall and a team duel on a double bowling alley. The coaches got an overview of what is hidden in their charges and the second round of the preparatory camp, which will be held in August in Nymburk, will already be marked by tuning the fitness to cope with the beginning of the season on the ice. The fighting spirit, determination and enthusiasm of the whole team is a promise for the autumn stage.
