The Canadians remain undefeated. Czech Republic vs USA.

Canada has dominated the competition so far. Undefeated and therefore with a record of 8 - 0, they are already assured of first place after the regular group. The other places are still open. China is certain to make the semis, and then the Russians, Czechs, Brits and Swedes are all in play. But let's go one at a time. The Canadians, Koreans, Chinese and Swedes won tonight. In lane B, it's the Czechs and the Americans. After four ends, the 0-0 score should have signaled a concentrated defensive effort on both sides, but our intent was different, we just couldn't seem to get there. After the opponent's one we played a deuce, but after eight ends we were down 3 : 2 and before the last stone of the ninth end the opponent's one and a bunch of guards in front of it. The girls came up with a difficult angle raise and executed it quite dryly. That tied it up at 3 : 3. The ending is almost undecidable. A couple of decent stones, some minor inaccuracies and Amanda Mc Lean has over 6 feet to go, but the ice is harder to read and a bit slower, so she stays in front of the rings. We are happy because we can fight for the semi and we will have at least two chances to do so. The first one is tomorrow's game against Canada.
