Mixed Doubles category has new champions. Russia.

Both medal matches culminated in extra ends. Russia (Nekrasova, Dron) became the world champion, narrowly beating New Zealand (Becker, Becker). The decider was the very end, when Becker failed to judge the path of the last stone and ended up on the guard. Bronze, again after a great fight, goes to China (names off the top of my head). Fourth place goes to the very young Spaniards (Garcia, Vez) who were the biggest and also very pleasant surprise of the tournament. The title for the seniors went to the Americans (Pustovar) and for the women to Canada. Personally, I thought the quality of the championship was much worse than last year - poor and unwilling transport (we had to catch a taxi to the match against Estonia after walking about a kilometre, having waited in vain for the promised shuttle beforehand, thus arriving at the stadium at a time when the opponent was already starting his training), lack of information, inaccurate umpires. On the other hand, very good icemakers, almost a hundred sympathetic volunteers. We all wish each other a safe and timely return home.
