When the World Championship is played in Perth (Scotland), the Czechs always play there.

In 1995 the World Curling Championships were played in Perth and the Czech Republic sent a women's team (skip Linhartová, now Nováková). The Czech women won the World Championship by winning the qualification tournament, which was played in Hasa, Prague. The Czechs, under the guidance of coach Řípová, finished tenth and got one win over the team of Norwegians. The CSC is sending two teams - men and women - to this year's World Junior Championships. All 13 members of the team are in place, all healthy. Tomorrow we'll have training, the opening ceremony and then we'll be on the move from Saturday. Welcome home and keep your fingers crossed. photo: Jana Nováková (formerly Linhartová)
