rnSaturday's portion of the tournament began for us with a 9 a.m. game against Keiser, who defeated Sidorova on Friday. We jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the fifth end, and then we just had to guard the end of the match. We managed the last end with great ease, so Anna didn't have to throw her stones anymore. The win significantly increased our chances of reaching the quarterfinals of this prestigious tournament. After a few hours break, we took the ice against the Fellmann team, who had no wins so far. Right from the start we scored a four after our good play and that put us in a bit of a lull. Gradually the game evened out and we were able to decide in the eighth end of a four-foot draw. We missed a well thrown stone by a few decimetres and it went to the extra end. The ice was showing some signs of fatigue by the end. Despite having almost eight feet on the last draw this time, we failed to get the stone in the right place and this time, by an even smaller distance, we were shorter and thus lost the match. Thanks to Binia Feltscher doing the work for us and beating Keiser, it didn't change our advancement to the Elite Eight. Tomorrow, starting at eight against Hegner, we'll try to advance to the top four.
