The key is the result of the Hungarians against the Scots, but a win against Switzerland is a condition.

When I did all the calculations, it came out that all our efforts are in vain if the Scots do not confirm their role as favourites against the Hungarians. On the other hand, it was clear that we could not look past ourselves, but had to play to the best of our ability. We gained an advantage in the pre-match training thanks to the great LSDs of Betya and Klara. Advantage is essential, even if sometimes we don't use it enough. The first end against Switzerland was a nice zero with the advantage left, but in the second end we were playing full out and due to our longer draws we found ourselves in trouble with Anna playing an angle raise against a four. She handled it with composure and we had an A. The Swiss returned one and then in the next end we created a promising position for three, but the last stone didn't hit the right line and the Swiss played another one. In the fifth end the skip saved her opponent with an excellent freeze and it was then very difficult to get a two. In the sixth end we forced our opponent to hit and roll against a three and the result was our one. After the seventh end, our opponents went ahead for the second time and we only leveled in the eighth end at 4 : 4. In the ninth end, Tirinzoni chose a difficult double to two and the result was only one. In the last end a little nervousness got to us and before our last two stones it looked better for Switzerland in the rings. Anna's first stone was superbly swept by Terka and it was a wonderful tap back to our better. Tirinzoni tried a double over her own stone, but only licked one of the two stones, namely her own. The final draw for two was more difficult mentally than technically. Anna put it in and the win is ours! It means that after the Hungarian's loss we are in seventh place. So it's Group A for next year and a direct qualification for the Czech Republic to the 2018 World Championships. The Hungarians and sadly the Turks fall into the B group and had a stone's throw to win against the Danes but didn't. Chalenge for the world is played by the Danes, it is not yet known against whom. My girls - a great success. You have shown a fighting heart. It's a pleasure to work with you. Thank you very much.rn
