The Czech men recorded an important win. A rocket start against Russia (4 : 0 after two ends) turned into a fierce battle for every stone, culminating in a draw against an extra end at about one foot. It turned out well, and actually out of hand. The women took on the Finns (Kauste) from 19,00. The girls transformed a somewhat lukewarm start into a very good performance and a sure win 11 to 5. Tomorrow the men have China and the women Italy. Both are quite crucial for the future fate of the Czech teams.
