According to publicly available information and curlers' messages published on Facebook, it is clear that some teams have problems with traveling from Europe (the reason is the eruption of the Icelandic volcano and the subsequent ash dust traveling over Europe). In particular, flights departing from Scandinavia, the UK and Benelux are delayed by many hours. We don't yet know exactly who will be delayed, but it is clear that teams (mixed doubles or seniors) who have scheduled flights from those locations for Thursday or Friday may be in trouble. Meanwhile, the Czechs are continuing their moderate conditioning workouts. We are also watching with interest the final adjustments to the surroundings before the start of the championships. It's mostly reminiscent of the building of the famous Potemkin villages (something to paint, something to build, something to clean up hastily, but a bit further away is a real mess).
