End of the tournament - Czechs are seventh. The team moves to Christchurch.

The final opponent was the Japanese team, who have played well and performed consistently so far. Skip Morozumi also played well in the last game and led his team unerringly to victory. After three 1's the Japanese got into a cracking position and with the Czechs failing to create good situations the Japanese were even leading 6-1 after the half. In the seventh end a chance came in the form of a possible Japanese stone shift and getting a 3, but Skip of the Czechs did not take the situation. After the eighth end we congratulated the Japanese on the win and waited for the result of the Canada - New Zealand match. New Zealand's win secured the Czechs the seventh place at WGNZ 09. In the evening and morning packing and farewells took place. We should definitely come again next year!? After breakfast at the Royal Hotel (omelette and tea with honey and lemon) we headed towards Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo. Tekapo in particular boasts the clearest water possible and a beautiful natural backdrop. Finally, after a few breaks, we end up in Christchurch, where we spend the evening in a nice pub with beer and pizza.
