A controlled win against Spain.

The Spaniards defied the Czech team less than halfway through the match. Then our ability to control the game became fully apparent and the opponent was unable to exert any pressure that would have been capitalized on. The convincing win puts us in fifth place, but the possible semi-final is further away, because the Swiss, who are one win away, have Spain as their last opponent. With the Danes winning (skip Schmidt), the French losing (skip Dufour) and the Swedes losing (skip Mabergs) the situation in the second half of the table is still difficult and tie-breaks are not at all out of the question. Let's concentrate on cheering the Czechs on in the last match of the regular group against France. But let's think not only about the men. The women are playing a crucial match against Russia right now (skip Privivkova). A win gives us a chance not only to stay in Group A, but also to qualify for the World Championship. I also visited the B arena to have some comparison. Several prominent spectators (Ussipaavalniemi, Carlsen, Ingvaldsen, Hummelt) helped create a warm atmosphere in the cold arena. You can see the comparison in the photos taken with my mobile phone.
