Korea surprised.
The Korean foursome surprised the Czechs first in the second end, when only thanks to an inaccurate last stone by Skip Lee, the Asians scored only one. Otherwise there was only five. But in the fourth end the five really came and adjusted the score to 6 : 4 for Korea. After that, there was little else going our way, including some poor decisions. On the other hand, Korea managed everything except one small hesitation and the Czechs could not find a recipe for their creative defence. Perhaps fatigue after the previous exhausting battle with the Scots led our players to end the game after eight ends at 5 : 10. On the sidelines, the Americans fought evenly against Canada, and only a longer draw by Peter Fenson kept the game from going into extra time. So Canada and Scotland are undefeated so far, all the way down are the Danes, who look almost comical in some moments. Well one has to think about one's age and give the younger ones a chance, especially if they are more skilful. And that's what the son of the Danish skip is!
