The Crown Prince of Denmark is curling!

Today was all about training and the opening ceremony. The team meeting brought nothing new. We're still fighting with a weird version of time-outs, the Scots showed a "sample " moose, and because Leibrandt was missing, the Swedes asked. The practice took place on ice that had speeds ranging from 13.2 to 14.8. We sorted out the food at a local restaurant and slowly got ready for the Opening Ceremony. The main attraction was Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, who threw the opening stone of the championship in a slide. One of the umpires, John Brown (Ireland), cautiously mentioned Frederik's draw in the sense that if it had been in a match he really couldn't have approved it as a valid throw. But the Danish Prince presented himself as a likeable young man who is not afraid of anything and I think that looking at him, some of the players wondered if they should take some advantage of the Prince's interest in curling. The atmosphere was also great thanks to the Copenhagen drummers who put on an interesting show. In the evening the championship was played with two matches, but we are going to bed early because tomorrow at 9 o'clock we have Scotland. Personally, I will be virtually connected with Aritma 1, who tomorrow, after many, many years, play a league match without me.
