The final match between Latvia and the Czech Republic confirmed the good performance of our players. Basically from the beginning the Czechs had the upper hand and kept the Latvians at a slight distance. There were a few mistakes, but they always managed to manage them satisfactorily. We went into the tenth end three better without an advantage and despite one defensive miss we didn't have to play the last stone. The win goes to the Czechs, with the Latvians second and the Scots third. We enjoyed the ceremony, sang the national anthem (we don't see the Czech flag on the flagpole that often) and received lots of congratulations along with endless photo ops with the friendly Turkish men and women. We are tired, but happy. The tournament was tough, eight matches in four days plus training sessions. We look forward to seeing everyone at home.
