On Thursday morning, four players - Kubeska, Candra, Jurik and L. Klima - flew to Scotland (Edinburgh) for the Masters Tournament, Curling Champions Tour. The tournament was the final part of the preparation for the European Championships. The team played a total of eight matches, in which they lost to Gronbech (Den) and Hardie (Sco), but defeated a wide range of experienced opponents on their way to the title. The Czechs successively defeated Kauste (Fin) - the defending champion from last year, Bryce (Sco), Attinger (Swi), Baumann (Ger), Stjerne (Den) and finally in the final against the current junior world champions team Mouat (Sco) 8 : 2. The whole event was, among other things, a test of the ability to logistically handle the traffic challenges that arose during the Saturday and Sunday matches. The team from Libo changed the place and time of departure several times and with it the mode of transport to the airport. However, everything was successfully arranged. By winning this tournament, the Liboc curling team rose to seventh place in the CCT rankings and found themselves in the select company of the best European teams.
