Friday is filled to the brim with curling. At seven o'clock we are at breakfast and we meet Caroline, who has flown in during the night after successfully passing the exam. From eight-thirty onwards, we have a rejuvenated line-up of Lithuanian women (Paulauskaite) as our opponents. This is a team that qualified from last year's B's to the A's of Europe and will get their first taste of the elite group in November. We are taking advantage of our opponents' mistakes, especially defensively, and are soon building a decisive lead. After six ends it's over and we move on to lunch at the local "canteen" where we get soup, main course, salad, dessert, fruit and coffee or smoothie for a reasonable price. The second team we encounter today are the Swedes (Hasselborg). After a confident start by the stellar northerners, where they run away from us a bit in terms of results, there's a turning point where the Swedish skip in particular makes several mistakes and contradictory decisions. We are closing the gap in the score. However, the end belongs to our opponents and we can't close the three-point gap in the eighth end. In the late evening match - the end is before midnight - we defeat the Swiss skip Hurlimann and after four matches we have a record of two wins and two losses. In our spare time, we were able to enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea bay and the sunny Friday weather that replaced yesterday's miserable Thursday. We don't start until after 11am tomorrow, so we'll catch up on the rest deficit from today's game marathon.
