Academic Championship 2009.

The not very convenient date of the Czech Republic Championship of Academics probably reduced the number of participants, but did not compromise the level. Only two teams competed in the women's section. In the exciting final, Dion beat the Zbraslav team only in the second half of the match. Linda Klímová, Kateřina Urbanová, Lenka Černovská and Kamila Mošová. In the men's category, five teams had a very demanding schedule. Some of them played as many as five matches in one day. The team playing under the name Praha A coped with this load the best. In a quality, offensive final, unfortunately played only for six ends, their opponent - Zbraslav H (skip Paul) - got a three in the fifth end with their advantage and the last end was already won by the "Prague players". The best academicians are Václav Pořt, Jiří Deyl and David Jirounek. The bronze went to the players of the Zbraslav OH team.
