European Championship 2019 has started.
The men's round got off to a good start in the A hall, while the women played more or less in the B hall. That was in the morning. From thirteen o'clock there was the opening ceremony of the championship, where the obligatory speech was made by Kate Caithness, and after her short speech the first ceremonial stone was thrown by a local junior. By three our women were on the ice. They were up against the Latvians on the sidelines. The Czech men had the Bulgarians as their opponents at the same time. Both games went well for the Czech colours. The women won 8 : 2 after eight ends and the men beat the Bulgarians 8 :6. Tomorrow the women will play two matches, against the Estonians in the morning at nine and against the Scots in the evening.
