Twenty-five pairs entered the Czech Republic Championship in the Mixed Doubles category. Five groups fought it out and the winners plus the top three runners-up (according to DSC) made up the quarterfinal eight. Sunday afternoon was reserved for the extra-stage duels. Icebreakers 2 versus Aritma 1 and Zbraslav H versus Aritma 2. These semifinal pairs eventually resulted in a pure Aritma final. The match for the title had three parts: the first one was quite even, the second one saw the emergence of Aritma 1 (Kubešková, Kubeska) and finally the powerful finish of Aritma 2 (Plíšková, Candra). The last stone of the match was thrown by Anna Kubeskova against the number four, and thus the losing match. The stone finally went just past the guard and marked the final score 8 : 4 for Aritma 1. The Kubesek tandem thus defended their title from last year and will now face the 2010 World Mixed Doubles Championships in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Zbraslav H (Hájková, Paul) has the bronze.
